Stuart Ginbey – Director of Tradewinds Engineering has provided specialist training to the Inspectors from BEIS (Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy). Also known as the ‘Offshore Inspectors’ they are tasked with ensuring offshore Oil & Gas Operators comply fully with the regulations to ensure they maintain operation in a safe and efficient manner. The course was aimed at updating the inspectors on the latest changes to the FGas regulations with particular focus being on the Marine & Offshore industry.
The course covered topics such as:
- Leak checking frequency
- Labeling
- FGas Register & Logbooks
- Training of personnel
- Phasedown of HFC refrigerants such as R404A
- Service ban on HFC refrigerants from 2020
The feedback from the course was very positive and all attendees appreciated the content that was covered.
