BAN ON REFRIGERANT R22   

From 1^st January 2015 it became illegal to use any HCFCs (including Refrigerant R22) to service RAC equipment – so recycled or reclaimed HCFC may no longer be used.

This refrigerant has now been phased out because of its Ozone Depleting Potential (ODP) and clients need to know what their options are for the future. Direct drop-in replacement refrigerants are available, but for some applications the equipment will need to be upgraded.
