In April 2021 we returned to Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, to work on the second LNG Tanker MV Kennington.
The project was to overhaul the main air conditioning system including the main compressor, replacing the evaporator coil and retrofit the Freon gas, from R404A to R407C.
In each of the three systems the work involved the recovery of the old Freon gas and oil, flushing of Refrigerant line with Nitrogen, Overhaul of the Compressor, renew the evaporator, thermo-expansion valves and recommission the system.
